Duo Cardinale-Magnasco
The Duo Cardinale-Magnasco is a well-known chamber formation with a several years experience and has played more than 300 concerts throughout Europe and the Americas (Italy, Spain, France, Belgium, Switzerland, Sweden, Austria, Germany, Cec Republic, USA , Brazil , Uruguay, Japan…). Their repertoire includes music from ‘700 to ‘900. The great attention paid by the artists to the philological aspects of the music has drawn the attention of critics and the interest of audiences throughout the world.
Andrea Cardinale - Violin
He got the diploma in violin at the conservatory “N. Paganini” in Genoa. He has attended various specialization courses at the Musical Academy “O. Respighi” in Rome at the Musical School “G.B. Viotti” in Vercelli, held by Mr. Ruggero Ricci and Mr. Franco Gulli. Moreover, he has been studying at the Peabody Conservatory in Baltimora (USA) with Mr. Berl Senofsky and in Milan with Mr. Damiano Cottalasso at the Scala Theatre. He usually performs in concerts both as soloist and in various chamber formations. He has performed during tournées in Italy, France, Spain, Belgium, Switzerland, Germany, United Kingdom, Polonia, USA, Algeria, Brazil and Malaysia in the most famous concert halls, such as the Madison Tower Hall in New York, the City Council Hall in Manchester, the Palace of Culture in Varsavia, the Tohnhalle in Zurich and the Gasteig Halle in Munchen. He has also performed during some important music festivals, such as the ones held in Spoleto and in Santa Fiora. In 1990 he joined the “European Symphonic Orchestra”. He has recorded pieces for national and private TV broadcasters (RAI, Mediaset, LA7, Tele Più) and more than 15 CDs for Italian, English, German and American Records Companies, spread over 30 countries. The violin he usually plays is a “Villaume” created in 1864 (Devoto Private Collection).

Alessandro Magnasco
was awarded a brilliant Diploma at the Genoa Conservatory, he then took courses
of perfectionism with illustrious teachers and recitalists of international
fame. At the same Conservatory he also received, with maximum marks, a Teaching
Diploma and continued to study the organ, harpsichord and composition. As well
as playing from an early age in the principle concert halls of the Ligurian
Riviera, he has played for hundreds of
musical societies in Italy and abroad (France, Spain, Sweden,
Belgium, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Cec Republic, USA, Brazil, Uruguay,
Japan ...) receiving enthusiastic acclaim for his musicality and exquisite
espressiveness. He has played in the
prestigious concert halls of the New York L.J.Lefrak Concert
Hall, the Italian Cultural Centre, Washington DC, USA. the SESI Theatre of Porto
Alegre and the Santa Cruz Aditorium, Brazil. Alliance Francaise House of
Culture, Montevideo Uruguay, Zurich Town Hall, Munich Gasteig, Meirhofen Europe
House, Austria, Linares Theatre and Auditorium A Segovia, Spain, Turin Alfieri
Theatre, Carlo Felice Theatre and Casa Paganini, Genoa, Bibiena Theatre Mantua,
Messina Theatre Vittoria Emanuele, Cosenza Theatre Rendano and in important
festivals including Asola, Piemonte in Musica, Alghero International Summer
Musical, Portofino Classical International, Carro Paganinian Festival, Emilia
Romagna Festival, Munich Baviera Germany, Stockholm and Julia Festival Sweden,
Linburg and Beringen Belgium, Cordova, Murcia, Linares, Spain, National Musical
Fete of Paris, Avignon Fioraisons Musicals, Nancy Phonies and many others. He
classified first in various
international competitions and has
recorded for television and radio
for RAI, the Italian state broadcasting company, both Spanish and Brazilian
State Televisions and the Australian State Radio. Alessandro Magnasco gives
an average of 70-80 concerts annually
with tours throughout the world.
In the next few months his programme of performances will cover Europe, USA,
South America and Japan. He has also taken part on the jury of many
international competitions. He is
Artistic Director of AMUSA and Musical Director to the
internationally famed Paganini Philharmonic Orchestra.
He records regularly for Dryno Record.
